Run club participation terms and waiver (v1)

About these terms

These terms apply to participation in activities organised through this run club. The venue must review and adapt them for its own operation, insurance and risk arrangements.

Age

This run club is for adults. By joining you confirm you are aged 18 or over.

Participation and personal responsibility

You confirm that you are taking part voluntarily, will follow reasonable instructions from authorised run leaders and will choose a pace and distance suitable for your own health, fitness and experience.

Health and medical needs

You are responsible for deciding whether you are fit to participate and for seeking medical advice where appropriate. Tell the run leader about any relevant needs that may affect your participation.

Routes and public spaces

Activities may use roads, pavements, trails and other public spaces. You remain responsible for observing traffic rules, conditions and hazards and for carrying suitable clothing, footwear, hydration and equipment.

Behaviour

Treat other participants, venue staff and members of the public with respect. Unsafe, abusive or discriminatory behaviour may result in participation being refused or membership being suspended or removed.

Personal belongings

You remain responsible for your own belongings unless the venue expressly agrees otherwise.

Emergency response

In an emergency, organisers may contact emergency services and use the information reasonably available to assist them.

Venue review

This starter wording is guidance and is not legal advice. The venue is responsible for reviewing suitability, maintaining appropriate insurance and operating activities safely.

I accept the club's terms and waiver above, and I confirm I'm aged 18 or over.

We record the exact version shown here. If the club publishes new terms while you're fetching your code, we'll show you the new wording and ask again before your membership starts.
